Kangaroo Class

Welcome to Kangaroo Class, we are a class of 8 children in Year 2 and Year 3.  Our class has two girls and six boys.

We work hard in Kangaroo Class on our transitions, our independence and especially our communication, which is woven through everything that we do throughout the day.  We are learning to communicate through PECS, Makaton signing and Aided Language Boards.

We work in a variety of different ways through one to one, group work and independent bay work.  We love to explore lots of different sensory items, spend time outdoors and be active; running, spinning and jumping are some of our favourite things to do!

We enjoy noisy toys and listening to our favourite songs which are ‘Magic Train Ride’ by Barefoot books and ‘How Far I’ll’ go by Moana.

We are working really hard on transitioning to different locations around the school using our schedules. We are looking forward to getting on the minibus and exploring our local parks later on in the year.
