Rhino Class

Rhino Class consists of ten pupils, 6 boys and 4 girls who are in Years 4-6. Our learning of Maths and Literacy are for a whole morning on alternative days throughout the week.  We do this through a classroom carousel incorporating a variety of learning activities linked to our topic, individual Key Skills targets and broader curriculum learning.  Within the carousel each pupil works 1:1 with staff, in small groups and independently.

We have introduced cooking within the cookery room which everyone is really enjoying.  We have made a selection of different items learning to follow and read symbolled recipes, measuring and mixing skills.  This has also helped encourage the trying of new food items and promote life skills. 

We are a lively class and also enjoy playing games such as football, board games and especially Pop-Up Pirate!

We have recently really enjoyed our half termly block of swimming at Romsey Rapids and can’t wait to go again later on in the year!
