Lion Class

Lion Class provides exciting and engaging opportunities for Key Stage 2 pupils, we are a mixed class with children ranging from Year 3 to Year 6. Pupils access their learning in a structured carousel approach with opportunities for 1:1 work- to work on individualised key skills, group work- learning new skills, bay work- an opportunity for overlearning and choose- an opportunity to purposefully choose learning opportunities linked to the topic and develop their interests.

As a class we are thoroughly enjoying opportunities for collaborative learning, working together to develop our sharing and turn-taking skills. We are also really focusing on our independence in using cutlery, toileting and our independence for learning. We engage with daily feelings and emotions check-ins using our Zones of Regulation and are increasingly able to verbalise how we feel and why. We are looking forward to hopefully planning some trips this year and developing our knowledge and awareness of the World Around Us. We engage in regular movement breaks to help our readiness for learning.
